MasterChef Australia 2016 home cook Trent Harvey seemed to have given a major spoiler when he said he believes Matt Sinclair will win the competition.

In a party attended by MasterChef Australia alums and celebrity judges, one contestant of the current season stood out – Matt Sinclair. This fueled speculation that he could be the victor of this season.

Matt Sinclair was the only contestant from the ongoing season of the hit reality cooking series who attended the recent Regional Flavours Launch in Brisbane.

He posted on his Instagram account two photos at the event. In one image, he was seen standing next to MasterChef Australia runner-up Georgia Barnes. One of Sinclair’s followers wrote a comment: “You must be the winner.”

In another image, the cooking show contestant was seen standing alongside celebrity chef Miguel Maestre while talking to a Ten News reporter.  The trio stood behind a demonstration kitchen bench.

Another Instagram user commented that the Masterchef program has been pre-recorded while the event Sinclair attended just happened. The IG user added that he did not see any other current Masterchef contestants in the festival and wondered if Sinclair already won the competition.

Mail Online wrote that while Sinclair shared some snaps and captioned these “on our production break,” the other contestants of this season of MasterChef who are still in the finals week have been posting throwback photos from their time in California.

Harvey previously said he is betting on Sinclair to win this season of MasterChef Australia. Harvey was eliminated after he failed to impressed the judges in replicating pastry chef Christy Tania’s complicated cake called Mistique.

In the upcoming episode, the remaining contestants will be tasked to replicate one of Lake House’s signature dishes while the restaurant’s executive chef and co-owner Alla Wolf-Tasker watches them.

MasterChef Australia Season 8 airs every Sunday to Thursday at 7:30 pm on Channel Ten.
