Fans and players of Manchester United are ready to put last weekend’s defeat against Watford behind them. However, the Internet is not as quick to forget. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba have become the stars in a series of Internet jokes after the Swedish striker was caught looking annoyed after a hilarious Pogba attempt.

Being the tail end of a string of three losses in a week, the loss to Watford in the English Premier League was a big blow to Manchester United. It was an even bigger blow to Paul Pogba, who has yet to prove his worth since joining the club this summer. After securing a world record transfer deal from Juventus, Pogba has a lot to prove. However, teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not appear to be impressed.

After Pogba made a hilarious attempt to score, Ibrahimovic was caught on camera muttering to himself and giving steely glares. After deciding to go for goal instead of passing to his teammate, Pogba’s ball ended up in the rafters and was nowhere near the vicinity of Watford’s goal.

A Twitter account has been established solely to poke fun at Pogba and his recent antics on the pitch. The handle @PogbaHighlights has been dedicated to hilarious clips of the expensive player. Here’s one clip showing how he decided to pass include the referee in the game by passing straight at the official’s feet.

Pogba returned to Manchester United amid a lot of hype in the summer after he enjoyed a successful stint with Italian champions Juventus. He arrived at the heels of the team’s signing of Ibrahimovic. While Zlatan quickly impressed in his first few games, Pogba still hasn’t shown a return of investment thus far.

Tension is rumored to be rising in the Manchester United locker room after their string of defeats. It started with a half-time shouting spree during the Manchester Derby and then subsequent losses in the Europa League against Feyenoord and the EPL loss against Watford last Sunday. Manager Jose Mourinho needs to act fast if he wants to lead his team to a recovery and save them from a downward spiral.
