MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date on October; 15-inch Mac on Sale for $300 Less

Apple continues to stay mum about the releases of MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016, while fans continue to comb the web for any information they can find on these upcoming devices.

It appears that the MacBook Pro 2016 and Air 2016 may be launched sooner rather than later. For anyone looking to gather hints that the 2016 MacBooks will indeed be coming soon, here’s a big one. A report on Yibada notes that prices of the existing MacBook Pro 2015 are being slashed by multiple retailers.

Best Buy now has put a price tag of $1,699 on the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro Retina model, which earlier was priced at $1,999. Fans who have been looking to snag a Pro 2015, now would definitely be a good time. This model features a  quad-core Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage.

B&H Photo is also offering a huge discount of $600, but it is on the 2014 variant of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, as reported by the site. This model is embedded with a 2.5GHz Intel processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB flash storage.

But, the bigger question is when exactly will the 2015 models be launched ? As predicted by Neurogadget, once the existing MacBooks stock across stores begins to dwindle, Apple may bring out the MacBook Pro 2016 and Air 2016.

The 2015 models that launched earlier this year didn’t quite do well as far as sales are concerned. And if rumors are to be believed, Apple is going to up the ante on the 2016 MacBooks, as the devices are expected to be introduced with some high-end specs onboard.

If speculations are to be believed, the Macbooks will boast Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 graphic card, Type-C USB port, the latest Intel Skylake chip and run OS X El Capitan, amongst other upgraded features.

Again, as for the exact release date, many predict it to be the month of October, however the knowledge that the new Intel Skylake chipsets in question will only be going into production during the last quarter of this year, suggests a 2016 launch.

It’s a wait and watch game and fans should come back for more updates on the MacBook Pro 2016 and Air 2016 models.
