Apart from the iPhone, tech junkies are looking forward to the rumoured MacBook Pro 2016 release date and features. While the Cupertino-based tech giant has yet to announce official details of the new laptop, several speculations have already surfaced online.

One of the most talked about rumours is the newest MacBook Pro’s launch at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2016. With the release of new laptops like the Microsoft Surface Book, fans are clamouring for Apple to release the Pro as soon as possible.

As Game N Guide reported, the new laptop could possibly be the thinnest ever once it has been made available to the public. “MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it’s our vision for the future of the notebook,” Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing Phillip Schiller said.

“Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish,” he continued.

Apart from it being the thinnest, other MacBook Pro 2016 release date and features rumours claim that the new MacBook will be cheaper than its predecessors. “The MacBook Pro would be the cheapest laptop from Apple,” Parent Herald noted.

“The new laptop is expected to be better, faster and cheaper. Per the reports, MacBook Pro 2016 will come at a discounted price.”

Some of the notable features of the new MacBook Pro reportedly include a brighter and improved Retina Display, a TouchID integrated into the Trackpad and a Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology and an 802.11 ac WiFi.  Reports are also claiming that it will also be available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants.

As of writing, Apple has yet to release any information about the price of the new MacBook, but speculations are rife that it will retail for AU$1,769  (US$1,300).
