Windows Phone aficionados are treated with what could possibly be the first camera sample from the much-awaited Lumia 940.
As reported by WMPoweruser, @Ricciolo1a uploaded a snapshot claiming to be taken from an unannounced Windows 10 phone. Ricciolo has also shared that Optical Image stabilization on the phone is improved, however the firmware is not completely optimized for use.
The smartphone would also apparently boast of an 20MP camera, much like the Lumia 930. The photograph was reportedly taken using an unknown Microsoft 9xx smartphone, according to the EXIF data put up by WMPoweruser. This further indicates that there could be some truth to the Lumias housing such high-end cameras.
Speculations about the next Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940XL are doing the rounds online. As earlier shared by Digital Trends, both the Lumias should arrive with a polycarbonate back.
The Lumia 940 is expected to come with a 5.2-inch screen supporting 1080p resolution. The site also noted that the smartphone could be powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor with 32GB of storage as well as 3GB of RAM.
Reports also indicate that these phones could be coming in with the Windows 10 for Mobile.
The price points and release dates of the Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940XL are still very unclear. However, pricing rumors on Digital Trends suggest that unsubsidized, the Lumias will cost more than an iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S6, wearing a price tag of more than $650.
As for the release date, reports say fans should be able to get their hands on these smartphones during the Fall of this year.
