It appears that the Lumia 650 will soon be announced to be joining the only other two Windows 10 Mobile devices that have been out there, namely the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
According to rumor on Windows Central, Lumia 650 will be introduced to the world on February 1, 2016. Microsoft will be revealing details and pricing of this “business-oriented phone” through its official blog, on the same day. It turns out that this may well be the last Lumia device to be out this year. As per report on Tech Radar, the Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 will not be launched, which probably makes Lumia 650 one of the “last of its breed” with Microsoft intending to keep a low-key presence at the Mobile World Congress 2016.
The device is speculated to sport a 5-inch 720p display and come powered by either a Snapdragon 210 or 212 chipset with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Other rumored specs read out to be an 8MP primary snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera. This Windows 10 device will arrive splashed in Matte White or Matte Black colors.
Windows loyalists are wondering what the company’s next move would be in the smatphone segment. But they surely know that something’s definitely brewing. A rumor on Tech Radar suggests that the company is busy working on a new Surface phone and its prototype is dubbed as “Juggernaught Alpha.”
The rumored spec sheet reveals that the phone will feature a 5.5-inch Clearback AMOLED display (1440 x 2560), Intel Atom X3 SoC with a quad-core processor and 4GB RAM, while the storage options include 64GB and 128GB. The rear panel is expected to be fitted with a 21MP camera and the secondary snapper is an 8MP one.
The launch date of the Microsoft Surface smartphone is speculated to be sometime at the beginning of this year. So, Windows fans can keep coming back to check back for more updates.
