The LG V20 release date will be on Sept. 6 in San Francisco but the company is yet to unveil its official look. Amidst the string of high-end and quality smartphones, does LG stand a chance on the tech market?
The South Korean multinational company switched to producing mobile devices due to its high demand. Previously, people have known LG for its crown jewel home appliances such as television.
The competition in the tech world dragged them to the lower part. However, they still managed to put their name behind giant tech titans like Apple, Samsung and Google.
Unfortunately, the previous model LG G5 was a flop. According to Android Police, the smartphone was not able to deliver the projected sales.
This must serve as a lesson to LG, but it appears that they are going to include its specs and features to the upcoming LG V20. The leaked photos of the flagship device look like the G5- with modular chin and dual cameras.
While the snapshots show the obvious, let us take a deeper look at the similarities and differences of the LG V20 to the previous device.
First, the similarities. As per the tech outlet, the upcoming mobile phone has an uncannily similar pop-off chin design. There is also a side button to release it.
Is LG using the same module on the new product? The website is not hoping so but according to them, the V20 measures 159.5×78.1×7.7mm while the G5 has 73.9mm.
On the other hand, the front camera contains the same sticker display of the predecessor. It also has the same rear camera set up for the G5.
While the leaked photos and details are not yet official, tech-savvy individuals might want to hear the announcement on the LG V20 release date. Meanwhile, here are other reported specs and features of the V20, courtesy of Android Authority.
The mobile phone might have a fingerprint sensor and could sport a Quad HD display with either the Snapdragon 820or 821 processor. Most likely, the mobile might have a 4GB of RAM and a USB type C port.
