Tech aficionados are probably busy looking out for any piece of information on the many flagship devices expected to be rolled out next year. So far we have seen and heard plenty about the iPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy S6 and now more information about the LG G5 has surfaced.
According to reports so far and a recent leak that GSM Arena got its hands on, LG loyalists may already have an idea that the upcoming flagship might just be something to watch out for. The leak shows-off the rear panel of what is said to be the LG G5 and it boasts a dual-camera setup. The rear panel has an 8MP snapper as well as an 16MP camera.
The latest report on VentureBeat suggests that LG may probably surprise fans with a couple of other innovations on its upcoming flagship. What may delight and surprise many fans, is that the handset is expected to feature a “second display” of sorts as seen on the LG V10 at the beginning of the year. What this means is that while the device will appear to have just a single screen but in fact there is a “display-within-a-display” as noted by BGR.
Furthermore, the handset is expected to arrive in all of its metal glory; reports suggest that the device will sport a metal form-factor. Earlier reports have hinted at the device showing-off a metal chassis to give it a more premium feel, for those who found the G4 lacking in that area.
It is also being speculated that the G5 might sport a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with SD820 SoC, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM, an 8MP secondary camera and storage options beginning with 32GB.
The LG G5 may be unveiled at the MWC 2016 which will kick-off on 22nd February. Fans may also be pinning hopes on a January release at the IFA 2016, but reports lean towards a February launch. Keep your fingers crossed for it to arrive sooner rather than later.
