If an upcoming smartphone were to be judged based solely upon the rumors and speculations then it would be safe to call the LG G5, a mean machine.
Fans may have heard it all, right from a neat slide-out battery case to a dual camera setup; all paint a wonderful picture of the device. The handset is expected to boast of major design changes and as noted by Android Authority, the device will be sleeker, taller and wider in comparison to its predecessor. The LG G5 is also said to possess an all-metal body, something that fans may appreciate.
Other than that the rumored spec sheet hints at the presence of Snapdragon 820 processor under its hood with 3GB RAM. The device may sport a 5.3-inch Quad HD screen with 1440 x 2560 pixels, USB Type-C port as well as an 8MP primary camera. Earlier reports have indicated at the presence of a dual camera arrangement with an 8MP and 16MP camera strapped on its back. As per report on BGR, there may also be a “display-within-a-display” feature onboard, something on the lines of the LG V10. If this wasn’t enough, rumour mills also churned out details about the presence of an eye-scanner and new UI.
It appears that LG is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that all eyes would be on its upcoming flagship, when the device is unveiled ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2016 on February 21. In a move that may have surprised many, LG decided to go head-to-head with other leading tech giants when it sent out the invites for what is believed to be the LG G5 launch event. As opposed to last year, when LG had given MWC a miss since the Galaxy S6 was sure to have grabbed all the limelight.
LG loyalists should keep coming back for more updates, rumors and speculations on the upcoming flagship.
