There is no denying of the fact that Beyonce is a pop queen. The Single ladies singer debuted her visual  album Lemonade on Saturday on HBO which contains a series of lyrics exploring relationships, sorrow, joy and anger of a black woman.The entire albums contains 12 tracks and is available on Tidal. The least active celebrity on microblogging site finally announced her album on Twitter.

Family Matters Revealed

The visuals seems to indicate that Beyonce planned to divorce Jay Z, there is a reference to the elevator fight of 2014, birthday of her daughter Blue Ivy, according to Vox.


The locations in the album include a city where slaves lived, plantations and wood cabins. She blew a temper tantrum in a parking garage. Symbolic underwater ocean portraying her feelings.

Guest Stars

The other stars who appeared in the video mostly were black and included Tennis star Serena Williams, Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis , actress and singer Zendaya,  actress Amandla Stenberg, The Weeknd, Jack White, Kendrick Lamar, Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown’s mothers, Jay Z,  Blue Ivy- husband and daughter of the singer.

Homemade Video

There is a homemade video in the album inspired by the singer’s grandmother feature lemonade, the title of the album with the lyrics “You spun gold out of this hard life, conjured beauty from the things left behind”. The scene is from the 90th birthday of the grandmother where she made lemonades. Infact, Beyonce even shared the recipe, EW reports.

Eerie Visuals

Religon, Supernnatural juxtaposed with weirdness give an unnatural appeal to the album.Elements of Southern Gothic , Beyonce talking about the religion, breathing under the water, fear of being thrown into the volcano.The visuals of the album are uncanny yet appealing.
