Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult had so much chemistry In “Equals” that the actor admitted that watching the film made him uncomfortable.

According to Entertainment Tonight, “Equals” will feature an extremely intimate scene between Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult. The scene is said to be carefully structured when the pair first discovered the sense of touch and later leaned forward for a kiss.

“We carefully structured the shoot so that the bathroom scene was the first time they really touched in the film and really touched when we were shooting,” Drake Doremus tells ET. “It was this release and this feeling. What happens in the film was really happening on set.”

The director reveals that the scene was filmed in 30-minute takes, and the unit has footage of hours of Stewart and Nicholas Hoult embracing each other. He further mentioned that it was simply not possible to cut it down to a few minutes as it had to really have the feeling. “I have hours of footage, essentially of them touching each other’s faces and hands and everything like that,” Doremus says of the steamy scene.

The seductive touching and their glances were so hot that even Nicholas Hoult can’t believe he was watching himself doing it. During the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of “Equals,” Hoult admitted to Vulture that it was very uncomfortable to watch the film for the first time. “I was like, ‘Wow, that’s me, but I feel I shouldn’t be watching it,’” the actor said.

Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult clearly made an impact with their much talked about scene that it is speculated to become the best kiss of the year, making it a top contender for MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss.

“Equals” will have a limited theatrical release on July 15 and can also be seen on DirecTV Cinema starting May 26.
