There has been word that Julianne Moore is going to be the next primary villain in “Kingsman: The Secret Service” sequel.

According to Empire, the “Hunger Games: Mockingjay” actress is eyed as the next antagonist though there was no official statement from her if she would take the role just yet. Moore is currently being tapped for various roles which means she might take Kingsman if it won’t conflict her schedule. She quite made an excellent supporter-turned-villain in the last two parts of the Hunger Games movies.

It’s certain, however, that Matthew Vaughn will return to direct the second film that revolves around a London spy organization. Taron Egerton will also reprise his role as Gary “Eggsy” Unwin, the unlikely youth who proved to be an important member of the secret service. Jane Goldman also returns to write the second script for the movie of the youthful spy.

Colin Firth’s character Harry Hart won’t be returning for obvious reasons. In an interview in CinemaBlend, Egerton was able to share his thoughts regarding Hart:

Well, I mean, I think he’s pretty dead. Shot in the head. But, I mean, I still have dreams that … I always thought it would be lovely to see Eggsy and Harry reunited. I have this, you know, I have my own fantasies about that. But I haven’t heard anything to suggest that he will be coming back. Unless they build a robot version of him, or he has an evil twin or something.”

Egerton also said that Kingsman 2 will have Eggsy not only working to keep London safe but will also look into problems on an international scale. If Moore does take the role, she will be the nefarious adversary that affects the whole world.

Kingsman 2 is expected to hit theatres on June 16, 2017 and is looking into pre-production this May 2016.
