Kim Kardashian opened up about her high-risk pregnancy and what may happen to her uterus after delivering her second baby.
In her latest post on her website, Kim said she is trying to stay “hopeful” but is still fear of a difficult delivery and possible complication due to preeclampsia.
People magazine noted that the reality star suffered from the same condition during her pregnancy with daughter North, who is now two-year old.
“With the issues I had last time, my risk of having preeclampsia and placenta accreta are increased and there’s not a whole lot I can do to prevent it, so my anxiety is a little high leading up to my delivery,” Kardashian admitted.
“In a very rare case, I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough, but luckily my doctor doesn’t think this will happen,” said Kim.
In an interview with E! News, the 35-year-old star admitted that she is anxious about her latest pregnancy.
“This pregnancy I have a little bit more anxiety just because I know what’s to come and it’s really inevitable some of the issues that I’m going to have. You know, I have a high-risk delivery and all of that gives me such anxiety,” Kim said.
Her advice to women who are going through the same ordeal as her is to stay hopeful, be prepared, and get the best information about their condition.
Kim is due to deliver her second child with Kanye West around Christmas.
The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star previous called her pregnancy the worst experience of her life.
She wrote on her website: “I’m gonna keep it real: For me, pregnancy is the worst experience of my life! LOL! I don’t enjoy one moment of it and I don’t understand people who enjoy it. My mom and Kourtney clearly did! More power to them but I just don’t relate!”
