Excited for the Kids’ Choice Awards this year? After weeks of voting, the awards show is almost upon us. Are you ready? In this list, we round up the top 5 things you should expect from this much-awaited day.

1. Lots and Lots of Slime!

Country singer Blake Shelton is hosting the show this year, and he just can’t wait! “I’ve been on countless stages throughout my life. But none have promised the madness, excitement and endless slime as Nick’s Kids’ Choice Awards,” the singer earlier told E! Online. Did you hear that? “Endless Slime.”

2. The Funniest Jokes

According to Hollywood Life, “The Voice” judge has been practising jokes for his hosting duties. “Blake has been trying out material and jokes to [Gwen Stefani’s] kids. He feels that if he can make them laugh then he will be able to make the audience laugh and have a great time,” a source told the gossip site. Shelton is currently dating Stefani.

3. Your Favorite Performers

Who is set to take the slimy stage for kids? According to E! Online: Joe Jonas and DNCE, Wiz Khalifa with Charlie Puth and Silento.

4. Your Favorite Stars

According to People, Bethany Mota, Keke Palmer, Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Evans, Fifth Harmony and Zendaya will all be there.

5. Bigger and Better: “The Ultimate Party For Kids!”

Six new categories were added to the list of awards this year. Kids can now vote for their “Favorite Cooking Show,” “Favorite Collaboration,” and “Favorite Male TV Star – Kids’ Show” They can also now pick their “Favorite Male TV Star – Family Show,” “Favorite Female TV Star – Kids’ Show,” and “Favorite Female TV Star – Family Show.” Host Shelton said we could expect the show to be “the ultimate party for kids.”

The Kids’ Choice Awards is set to air live on March 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
