Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom call off their divorce following the NBA star’s near-death experience.
According to Daily News, Kardashian’s lawyer Laura Wasser appeared in court early Wednesday with a request for dismissal signed by Odom while he is recuperating at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The judge granted the request, the Daily News reported. This means Khloe and Lamar will stay married since their final divorce judgment, which is only waiting for a judge’s signature, is now off the table. ESPN noted that the one-page court document doesn’t state the reason for the request.
Odom was found unconscious with fluid coming out of his mouth last week in a Nevada brothel. Reports indicated that Lamar was taking herbal Viagra during his stay at the brothel. But there are no reports of any alcohol or drugs found in his room.
Kardashian never left Odom’s side ever since the incident occurred. He has been in critical condition before regaining consciousness on Friday and was transported to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on Monday.
Odom, 35, and the 31-year-old “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star wed in 2009 and in December 2013, she filed for divorce amid rumors of cheating and drug abuse.
USA Today reported that a source revealed how Odom and Kardashian rekindled their relationship during his six-night stay at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
Khloe broke her silence on Monday and posted a statement on her website saying the former Los Angeles Lakers forward has made “incredible strides” and thanked his doctors and nurses for taking care of him.
It was previously reported that Kardashian is also planning to transform her house into a rehab facility for Lamar.
The hospital and Odom’s family have yet to reveal his prognosis, but the family has hinted that it will be a long road ahead, saying they realize his “continued improvement” won’t be easy, ESPN wrote.
