Khloe Kardashian may have had a hard time dealing with the transition of his stepfather Bruce to glamorous woman Caitlyn Jenner, but this is not the reason why Cait won’t be attending their family’s Thanksgiving celebration.
According to Hollywood Life, the Kardashian sister revealed to Ellen DeGeneres on Monday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that Jenner won’t be able to attend the family’s Thanksgiving gathering because she will be busy working then. In terms of her commitment on that holiday, People reports that Cait will be filming season 2 of “I Am Cait”, the reality star’s docuseries regarding her journey in advocating for the transgender community.
Meanwhile, US Weekly extensively discusses the aspect of Khloe’s interview regarding Cait’s transition. The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star admitted to Ellen that she had a hard time digesting the news because she was on camera when she found out. US Weekly further relays that Khloe was disappointed at first because Bruce couldn’t be honest with their family.
Khloe was quoted by US Weekly as saying: “We kept asking Bruce what’s going on and he kept telling us one thing but really he knew he was transitioning and he couldn’t be honest with us.” US Weekly further reports that although Khloe had her frustrations at the beginning, she insists she is fine with the situation now. The site discusses that Khloe is in the process of understanding how Bruce–the stepfather she used to know that raised her since she was 5–is completely different from the Caitlyn now.
Still, although work commitments are holding Caitlyn Jenner back from attending Thanksgiving, Khloe is positive that Cait will be able to attend the family’s Christmas celebration. “She’s still part of our family, it’s still our dad, which I know is confusing for some people but that’s how we know her,” US Weekly quotes Khloe in her interview with Ellen.
