The Duchess of Cambridge’s sense of style hits the limelight once again.

Hollywood Life reports that the Duchess, still fondly known by many as Kate Middleton, recycled a stunning gray dress that she already wore back in 2012.

According to the celebrity-centered website, Kate first wore the Matthew Williamson embellished wool crepe peplum dress at the UK premiere of Disneynature’s “African Cats” in London.

Another interesting point that Hollywood Life raised is that, when Kate recycles a dress or an outfit, she will usually pair it with a different set of shoes and jewelry. However, when she recycled the Matthew Williamson stunner at the Place2Be Headteacher Conference in London last November 18, she matched the outfit with the same purse and shoes she wore back in the 2012 event.

While recycling a dress can be considered as a fashion blunder especially for a well-known style icon like Kate, E! Online points out that the Duchess’ ‘thing’ to wear old dresses again is one of the reasons why she is loved by many.

On another note, E! Online also reports that Kate fans who would want to steal the look may be left disappointed because the dress has since been sold out.

Hello! also reports that although Kate paired the dress with similar accessories when she first wore it, $3,300 diamond earrings were added to the mix.

The website says that the pair is called the Lauren Yellow Gold Pave Diamond Leaf Earrings which were designed by Kiki McDonough. McDonough is also said to have designed jewelry for the late Princess Diana.

However, although Kate’s latest fashion exposure is an interesting topic for discussion, her involvement in the event that she attended carries more weight.

US Weekly quotes the Duchess of Cambridge in saying:

“I am sure you will agree that all children deserve time, attention, and love from the adults in their lives… Many children — even those from stable, happy homes — are finding that their heads are just too full. It is our duty, as parents and as teachers, to give all children the space to build their emotional strength and provide a strong foundation for their future.”

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is mother to Prince George, 2, and 6-month-old Princess Charlotte.
