The Kardashians have made history again but this time, it’s in the field of plastic surgery.
Although the popular reality TV family is no stranger to cosmetic procedures, none of its members could’ve expected to have a specific technique to be named after them. Dr. Gary Eldridge from Australia did just that, TMZ reported. The Australian doctor registered his latest cosmetic procedure called the “Kardashian Facelift” for a US trademark, the publication revealed.
A description of the procedure revealed it as a “minimally invasive” procedure to lift the face and neck. Eldridge said it required the injection of the fibrin protein that would encourage skin rejuvenation naturally. However, he assured the procedure was painless.
Court documents revealed the “Kardashian Facelift” would cost a patient US$1,870 (approx. AU$2,580), Perez Hilton wrote. Given how gorgeous the Kardashians are, the doctor might not have a problem marketing the procedure.
OK! earlier revealed how much the Kardashians spend on plastic surgery in a year. According to the publication, Kim K spends an estimated £21,000 (approx. AU$42,000). However, momager Kris Jenner reportedly spends more than twice that amount. Meanwhile, sources revealed Kourtney allegedly sought plastic surgery in a bid to remain attractive to Justin Bieber.
Meanwhile, her younger sister Kylie Jenner inspired other women to get lip fillers following her admission. Kendall spends the least on cosmetic procedures at only £6,315 (approx. AU$12,672). In contrast, Khloe revealed her own disaster with face fillers. She recalled her horrible experience on “Kocktails with Khloe” to guest “Botched” plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow, HollywoodLife wrote.
“My face was so f***ed I had to go and get this whole thing dissolved. It was a bummer and now I’m afraid to do it again. And I’m almost like, I swear things are still in my face,” Khloe said.
Ok! cited statistics published by Transform Cosmetics that revealed a 73 percent increase in the number of people who’ve asked about how they can achieve the “Kardashian look” following the first telecasts of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
However, it would appear the reality TV family won’t be able to earn from the “Kardashian Facelift,” Perez Hilton revealed. As it turns out, Dr. Eldridge didn’t name his latest cosmetic procedure after them. The good doctor claimed his daughter’s dog Kardashian was the inspiration behind it. Nevertheless, the publication wished him well in his endeavours as a lawsuit might be in his future if the Kardashians cite him for using their name for his own gain.
