Sia and Kanye West collaborated once again, nearly a year after West released his song “Wolves” which featured the “Chandelier” singer and rapper Vic Mensa.
This time, West co-written “Reaper,” one of Sia’s songs in her new album, “This Is Acting.”
The Australian singer/songwriter shared on Twitter 11 seconds of her new song “Reaper.”
The new track will appear on Sia’s seventh album, which is set to be released on Jan. 29. “This Is Acting” is composed of songs the “Elastic Heart” singer wrote for other artists.
Sia has written a lot of hits songs for several pop diva including Rihanna, Beyonce, Adele, and Britney Spears.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the singer admitted that “Reaper” was actually intended for Rihanna, but she decided to keep it for herself.
“All of them were written with the intention of being for somebody else. But there is one I didn’t send to anybody called “One Million Bullets.” That one I liked — and I already had so much of the album completed — but I loved it and didn’t want to give it to anyone else. So that one I don’t think I sent to anyone else, but my memory’s terrible. There’s one that I went into a session with Kanye, to write for Rihanna, so that one was intended for her, but then I’m keeping that one,” she told Rolling Stone when asked if all the songs from “This Is Acting” are intentionally written for other artists.
Sia is also famously known performing backward and hiding her face from the camera. Her most notable performances were at the “Ellen Degeneres Show,” the “Jimmy Kimmel Show” and at the 2015 Grammy Awards where she sang her award winning song “Chandelier” live.
Aside from writing hit songs for other singers, Sia also helped the dancing career of “The Dance Moms” star Maddie Ziegler. The home-schooled teen starred in three of Sia’s music videos – “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart” and “Big Girls Cry” – from her 2014 album “1000 Forms of Fear,” the Daily Mail noted.
Ziegler is also set to appear in Sia’s first movie, titled “Sister,” Christian Post reported.
Sia previously released four other songs from her upcoming album – “Alive,” “Bird Set Free,” “One Million Bullets,” and “Cheap Thrills.”
Meanwhile, West released on New Year’s Eve his latest a song, “Facts.”
