Is Justin Bieber’s next album already in the works? Is he set to officially ditch pop music for EDM? Reports suggest the “Love Yourself” singer might be cooking up more electronic dance tunes. This time, he has reportedly enlisted the help of Dutch DJ Martin Garrix.
According to Your EDM, the 19-year-old record producer has teased details of a collaboration with the “What Do You Mean” singer. When a fan on Twitter asked him about it, Garrix did not play coy. “[T]rue, working on some ideas!” he confirmed through his new label’s official Twitter account. However, it was not made clear if they are indeed working on Bieber’s next album together. It is possible that they are just going to produce a one-off single together.
According to Inquisitr, Bieber and Garrix have been pals for a while now. The two reportedly met through their mutual manager, Scooter Braun. They were recently spotted hanging out during the Brit Awards in London. Could they have been discussing the details of their upcoming collaboration then?
Bieber first tried his hand in pop-EDM with the help of Zedd. The Russian-German DJ produced and wrote, “Beauty and a Beat” for Bieber’s “Believe” album. He later collaborated with EDM duo Jack Ü. Their song together, “Where Are Ü Now,” gave Bieber his first Grammy win. Jack Ü members Skrillex and Duplo later worked with Bieber on his latest album, “Purpose.” It has been speculated that Bieber might win more Grammys with this latest record. Could he be trying to follow up its success by working with another EDM artist? Stay tuned for updates.
