Justin Bieber dropped the music video for the single “Company” from his album “Purpose.”
The music video offers “a documentary-style compilation of clips” that showcases Bieber’s travels around the world, TIME reported. Behind the scene footages reveal the Canadian singer’s pastime activities, as well as his busy practice sessions and stage performances. Of course, fans can expect images of Justin Bieber half-naked in it.
Rory Kramer directed, produced, and edited the music video for “Company,” Daily Mail wrote. Kramer is also Bieber’s tour videographer, the publication added. In three-and-a-half minutes, Beliebers get to see the ups and downs of the singer’s life as a 23-year-old who is constantly in the spotlight.
More than what the music video has to offer visually, Beliebers are sure to enjoy the message it depicts. The song was already a fan favorite even before it came out. Many hoped it would be the next single released after “Love Yourself.”
Yet the lyrics of the song appear to contrast the images. Hence, despite his fame, it could indicate that Justin Bieber has difficulty finding a “meaningful relationship,” TIME surmised. The publication cited lyrics from the song that could reveal the Canadian singer’s plea for “Company.”
“Maybe we/can be/be each other’s company,” TIME quoted. The “LOVE YOU” message on sand that he wrote might even be a secret message, HollywoodLife wrote. However, is it a shout out to Selena Gomez in the hopes of a reunion? On the other hand, it might have been a way to make up for his recent actions that disappointed his fans, the publication noted. Regardless of its intention, Beiber hopes his fans will enjoy the video as much as he does.
“Personally, I love this because it’s an honest look at my journey. The process of putting together this album and this tour—surrounded by people I love to be with—has been really special.” He adds, “I’m proud of it, it’s been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work, and I think that really shows in the video. I hope my fans like it as much as I do because it’s really all for you,” E! News quoted the Canadian singer.
