Actor Willem Dafoe will be in “Justice League: Part One.” This has long been confirmed. However, his exact role has yet to be announced. What part could the former “Spiderman” villain play in the movie?

According to Birth Movies Death, Dafoe’s character will be from Atlantis. The film blog’s source did not disclose any other detail, though. However, this one tidbit lends itself to much speculation. There is quite a number of Atlanteans in the DC Universe. And the casting for only one, Aquaman, has been confirmed so far. Will the veteran actor play one of Aquaman’s enemies under the sea?

Birth Movies Death says this might not be the case. “Initial reports have him as a good guy,” the film blog pointed out. Dafoe has long been typecast as a villain. The actor played Green Goblin in the 2000s “Spider-Man” trilogy. For a time, he was also reportedly considered to play The Joker in 1989 “Batman” movie. Will Part One of “Justice League” change all that? What role will he really play in the movie? Fans might have to wait until next year to find out.

Meanwhile, according to Heroic Hollywood, Darkseid will finally make an appearance in “Part One.” He will reportedly be shown in a flashback sequence.

You can check out the first part of “Justice League” when it hits theatres on November 16, 2017. “Part Two” meanwhile will be released on June 14, 2019.

“Justice League: Part One”  will bring back “Batman V. Superman” actors Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot to the big screen. Cavill, Affleck and Gadot will reprise their iconic roles for the movie. Other characters confirmed for “Part One” are Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash.
