Constantine’s stint on television may have been brief, but that didn’t stop fans from liking Matt Ryan’s portrayal of the character. Recent rumors even suggested that Constantine may appear in more DC Universe shows. Now, will the Justice League movie cast the character as well?

This sounds too good to be true, but Matt Ryan’s John Constantine will indeed be back. However, the character’s return won’t just be with the Justice League film. Instead, Ryan will return with the character on the animated feature Justice League Dark.

For the uninitiated, Justice League Dark features the coming together of superheroes. However, as the title suggests, it’s different from the “traditional” Justice League in the sense that they are personalities who lean more towards the supernatural. If Batman’s gang can’t handle it, they’re the team to do so.

A report by Screen Rant details the plot of the film. According to the source, a new crime wave hits the world with “dark forces” as mastermind. Since this sort of thing is just within the expertise of Justice League Dark, Wonder Woman and company turns to them for help.

Time will tell how the animated feature fares out. For now, check the sneak peek below.

Justice League movie: Marvel similarities in teaser?

Aside from the mysterious Justice League Dark, another film just waiting around the corner is Justice League Part 1.

The recent San Diego Comic-Con paved the way for the film’s first teaser. However, while most DC fans were hyped about it, others were quick to point that the video reminded them of scenes from a Marvel movie. Specifically, some noted that Batman’s (Ben Affleck) meeting and recruitment of The Flash (Ezra Miller) was reminiscent of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in Captain America: Civil War.

Although others are right in saying that the dynamics indeed have similarities, DC fans explained why it isn’t a rip-off. According to some, the Batman-Flash scene was written even before Civil War started filming.

Whatever the truth may be, the DC Universe is surely stepping up its game in the big screen.

Justice League Part 1 premieres on November 17, 2017.
