Actress Karen Gillan got into a cobweb of the  Jumanji 2 photo controversy. While the other stars of the movie can be seen wearing full clothes, the actress’ skimpy costume has drawn quite a lot of attention from fans. This led Karen Gillan to defend her costume through a brief statement on Twitter. However, her statement accidentally leaked the Jumanji 2 plot to a notable extent.

On Tuesday, the first photograph of Jumanji 2 was released on Instagram.  The image featured the first look of movie lead Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Bravestone, Kevin Hart as Moose Finbar, Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon and Karen Gilan as Ruby Roundhouse.

However, the captioned “Our dope 90’s vintage costumes will all make sense when our plot’s revealed” photo promptly smuggled a lot of eyeballs. Why? It is because of Karen Gillan’s skimpy costume.  While all of her male co-stars are fully clothed, Gillan is seen wearing an arguably inappropriate attire. It looked like she got lost on the way to a nightclub and ended up in the jungle instead.

As she was dressed in a ridiculous costume (for jungle trekking), many fans were quick to accuse the filmmakers of sexism. However, Johnson headed off any criticism about his co-star’s skimpy dress. He took things to his social media page and wrote: “Her jungle wardrobe will make sense when you know the plot. Trust me.”

In a Twitter post, Karen Gillan fired back with her own message. She wrote: “Jumanji! Yes, I’m wearing child-sized clothes and YES there is a reason! The payoff is worth it, I promise!”

On a positive note, Karen Gillan’s statement dropped quite a big bombshell about the plot of the upcoming adventure film. Since she specifically mentioned the term “child-sized” clothes, there are chances that her character was stuck in the game as a child. When she re-appears as an adult, her “child-sized” clothes don’t exactly fit, believes Movie Web.

This is just speculation since there is no official plot synopsis thus far. Earlier, Dwayne Johnson revealed that Jumanji 2 is not a reboot and it will pay tribute to Dr. Alan Parish’s character played by late Robin Williams.

Things will only be known when Jumanji 2 hits theaters on July 28, 2017.
