After the release of Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” and Jordan 6 “Chrome” on July and August respectively, another Jordan brand is set for release this coming weekend.
Sneaker fans will definitely be glad as the newest Jordan 11 Retro Low “Black Cat” or “Referee” is set to be available in stores this Saturday, September 26, according to Nike.com. At a retail price of $170, it is expected to sell out very quickly.
Nike posted online that there will be a limit of one pair per customer.
According to Slam, “the newest Air Jordan 11 is accented by a touch of red, and finished off by all black premium leather and Nubuck.”
While it is generally black in color with hints of red, “it includes the Jumpman logo on the tongue, a checkered pattern on the carbon-fiber shank, the Jumpman logo on the insole and the herringbone pattern along the bottom of the shoe”, as mentioned in the website, Footwearnews.
This pair was originally released in 1996 at the time when basketball referees were only allowed to wear black sneakers, as reported in SneakerBarDetroit. Since “Chris Paul debuted them once again at the USA Basketball mini camp in Las Vegas” and fans have therefore looked forward to its release.
Sneakerheads will definitely love the pair as it “boasts a PU midsole featuring a carbon-fiber spring plate and full-length Air unit” which will make it very comfortable to wear, according to Footwearnews.
BleacherReport calls it a “looker” and the red accent puts it in “superb fashion.” Accordingly, the site mentions that “the different tones of black complement each other well before giving way to the bright Jumpman on the tongue.”
The popular black-red combination makes it a very sturdy pair that fans will definitely be heading to stores to add this to their Jordan collection.
