The weekend is just a few hours away and as if on schedule, Jordan Brand is releasing yet another snkeaker much to fans delight. This time though, it will be dropping a pair in its iconic OG colorway — the Air Jordan 6 low will be arriving in “Chrome”.
Jordan 6 low “Chrome” or as Nike dubs it, “Metallic Silver, will be releasing on August 29, Saturday, in Nike and Jordan Brand stores all over the world, as well as online stores such as Eastbay and Footlocker. With a price tag of $175 a pair, expect the shoes to sell out quick as it drops 10am EDT in the US.
With official colors Black/ Metallic Silver-White, the pair reps a black nubuck upper with icy blue outsole accents and metallic silver details.
According to Footlocker, the Jordan 6 is an iconic pair because of its history. The pair was first released in 1991, the same year Michael Jordan won his fifth scoring title and was part of both first team All NBA and first All Defensive team. Wearing the Jordan 6s, he scored his seventh consecutive trip to the NBA All Stars and won the 1991 NBA league MVP.
“Most importantly Michael Jordan’s skills and dedication culminated in the Bulls’ first NBA Championship and was Jordan was named NBA Finals MVP,” the site noted.
The Jordan 6 “Chrome” colorway was first released in 2002, notes Sneaker News.
The low-top version is also perfect for the summer and will go best for back-to-school season.
“The new low-top release will provide more opportunities to wear them with shorts as summer winds down,” Bleacher Report noted.
Expect Jordans to rain this coming September as well and we’ll be updating this site with the newest releases.
