Amber Heard and Johnny Depp will soon be divorced, as actress has filed for it from “Captain Jack Sparrow.” Questions are being asked about whether there was any adultery involved.
The couple has been married since February 2015. It was reported that she had filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court on Sunday.
The two met while they were shooting for “The Rum Diary,” according to Daily Mail. They got engaged just six months after Depp revealed that he was splitting from longtime love Vanessa Paradis.
He shares two children with Paradis.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor, 52, has been married twice, and also went through three failed engagements.
It was earlier reported that he had even got the name of Winona Ryder tattooed on his arm while showing a great romantic gesture. He starred with her in 1990 film “Edward Scissorhands.”
Johnny Depp and Heard never had any children together. However, the duo is known for owning a couple of dogs. It was last year, when the two landed themselves in some legal crisis, while they illegally got the dogs into Australia.
The actor was shooting “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” here.
After this incident, Heard said she was guilty of knowingly producing a false or misleading document. Other charges against her were dropped.
Those charges included, illegally importing her dogs into Australia. Australia is known for having strict biosecurity laws.
While she was at the Los Angeles Superior Court, Heard cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the divorce.
“Irreconcilable differences” actually means that no one party is wholly responsible for the divorce, says Legal Zoom. However, given Johnny Depp’s relationship history, there is a rumour of adultery.
It also means that filing for divorce on the point of “irreconcilable differences,” as Amber Heard has cited, is essentially the no-fault divorce.
According to CNN, documents stated that Heard is requesting spousal support from Depp.
