Hollywood is going gaga over this latest diet craze in town – the Taco Cleanse diet – and celebrities are jumping in including actress Jennifer Aniston.
Aniston admitted to Yahoo Food that she is “riveted” with the latest diet fad with involves eating tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a 30-day diet to lose weight.
Aniston promptly Googled the Taco Cleanse diet during her interview and admitted her doubts at first. “Isn’t the corn tortilla, like, not that good for you?” she asked.
However, by the end of the conversation, the former “Friends” star seemed to have changed her mind, and said: “I already ordered the book on Amazon!”
The actress has said previously that she loves Mexican food and has been spotted dining regularly at Marix Tex Mex Cafe in West Hollywood, which hosts a popular Taco Tuesday night, Yahoo Celebrity wrote.
The “Cake” actress is also known for her obsession of healthy eating. In May, she documented her daily diet, which included wheat toast with a poached egg, avocado, and tomatoes, as well as a bulgur salad with chickpeas and vegetables. She is also working on a cookbook for people who struggle with dieting, People magazine noted.
Last June, Jen told Yahoo: I’m a good alchemist. I can mix certain things together that are all very healthy, but you don’t feel like you’re depriving yourself in any way.”
Meanwhile, the new book, “The Taco Cleanse: The Tortilla-Based Diet Proven to Change Your Life,” was one of the most popular diet books of 2016. It was released in December 2015 and was written by four Austin, Texas, self-proclaimed “taco scientists” – Wes Allison, Stephanie Bogdanich, Molly R. Frisinger, and Jessica Morris. The four claimed they lost weight after eating tacos for 30 days straight.
The book contains 75 vegan recipes, which means you can’t expect meat or sour cream on the list of ingredients.
