Actor Matt Damon is back as Jason Bourne. This time, he is joined by Alicia Vikander as a cyber specialist. Universal has dropped two teasers of “Jason Bourne” in the run up to the launch of the official trailer which happens tomorrow.
Matt Damon is back with the fifth installment of the Bourne series. He reprises his role as the iconic CIA assassin in “Jason Bourne.” The movie is still directed by Paul Greengrass who helmed the previous installments “The Bourne Supremacy (2004)” and “The Bourne Ultimatum (2007).”
The latest installment is set after a nine-year leap since “The Bourne Ultimatum.” Julia Stiles, who reprises her role as Nicky Parsons, sets a dark tone for the movie. According to Entertainment Weekly, Stiles’ Nicky Parsons will be followed on her way to meet Bourne. This sets the plot in action.
Screen Crush elaborates that Bourne can remember everything by now. However, Stiles’ Parsons reminds him that this does not mean he knows everything. This leaves him in a dark place.
“Jason Bourne” teasers have been making rounds on the internet and shows Damon at his best. The first one named “Molotov” teases some great action sequences. The second, aptly titled “Disappear,” shows him in a blink-and-you-miss appearance.
According to Screen Rant, “Disappear” features some of the new cast including Alicia Vikander. Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, and Matt Damon are joined by Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, Ato Essandoh, and Riz Ahmed. The movie is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse and boasts of some adrenalin-inducing chase sequences and stunts.
“Matt worked phenomenally hard to get into astonishing shape,” Greengrass told Entertainment Weekly. “He looks like he’s on a mission, he looks like he’s active, and he looks like there’s no time to waste,” he added. “Jason Bourne” is expected to hit the theatres in July this year.
