TV fans from Down Under need not miss another episode of their favorite shows ever again. ABC just made all their shows available for live streaming on iView Australia. What does this mean for Aussies everywhere?

ABC’s app for video-on-demand content has been servicing patrons since its launch in 2008. It became one of Australia’s go-to apps for episodes they might have missed for one reason or the other. However, the app merely functioned as a catch-up service in the past.

Starting this week, though, iView Australia will be offering something more. According to Gizmodo Australia, ABC will now simultaneously broadcast their shows through regular channels, as well as iView. Aside from ABC shows, you can also watch shows from ABC2, ABC 3, ABC Kids and ABC News 24 through this service. You can now watch all your favorite ABC series on your mobile phones and tablets as soon as they air. You never have to rush home to catch the latest episode of Moment of Truth ever again. You could be stuck  on the bus ride home and still not miss the latest installment of Cleaver. You only need to turn on the app, and you can watch everything from there.

You don’t even have to download the ABC iView app for Apple iOS or Google Android. This service is also available through the “Watch Live” section on the iView website.

ABC isn’t the only local network that offers online streaming services, though. Yahoo7 has PLUS7, which streams shows from 7, 7Two, 7Mate and 7Flix. Channel 10 meanwhile offers TenPlay. The local network 9Now, on the other hand, streams shows from 9, 9Go, 9Gem, and 9Life.

ABC’s live streaming schedule for iView Australia does follow the New South Wales Metro calendar, though. So you might have to figure out what time your favorite shows actually come on first before you are able to use the app.
