Robert Downey Jr. has hinted that he might do “Iron Man 4” but there were also speculations that the fourth sequel will be different from the first three.

In an interview with ABC’s “Nightline” on the cast of “Captain America: Civil War,” RDJ was asked about the possibility of another “Iron Man” sequel.  The actor replied: “I feel like I could do one more.”

However, Movie Pilot wrote MCU may have changed by the time of the fourth instalment.

Movie Pilot cited Marvel executive Kevin Feige’s interview with Entertainment Weekly, wherein he offered his views about “Iron Man 4.”

“I think there will be a finality to moments of Phase Three, as well as new beginnings that will mark a different, a very different, a distinctively different chapter in what will someday be a complete first saga made up of three phases.”

Will there be a new chapter of “Iron Man?” Will Tony Stark still be on it?

Yahoo News listed Downey Jr.’s interviews in which he was asked about “Iron Man 4” and he offered different answers every time.

Downey told Empire Magazine in 2015 that he was nearing the end of the Iron Man road, Yahoo News wrote. “I also recognize that I’ll be turning 50 by the time I promote this movie,” referring to Civil War. “The clock is ticking down on the amount of memories and participation that I would allow myself and not embarrass the medium with,” the actor said.

In 2014, the actor appeared on “The Late Show With David Letterman,” where Letterman asked him whether there would be another “Iron Man.” Downey Jr. said: “Just between us — no. But I’m going to do other stuff with Marvel…. There’s going to be plenty of fun stuff to happen.”

But few days before his appearance on Letterman’s show, the actor was asked by Ellen DeGeneres in her show whether there will be “Iron Man 4,” Downey said yes.

Yahoo News noted that at this point, it is fair to assume that there is no guarantee that “Iron Man 4” with starring Robert Downey Jr. on it is actually happening until viewers are actually in theatres watching it.

Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. will appear in soon-to-be-released “Captain America: Civil War” along with other “Avengers” cast. The movie will hit cinemas next week (May 6).
