Following the iPhone SE launch, the iPhone 7 rumours and speculations were bound to increase in intensity, with the latest leak suggesting an edge-to-edge display on the upcoming device.
However, with every new Apple product in the works comes a fresh spate of leaks and while some are quite genuine and credible, many also happen to be fake. It appears that the iPhone 7 image with edge-to-edge screen found on Weibo, could probably be fitting in the latter category of leaks.
According to report on 9to5Mac, an iPhone 7 image surfaced on the Chinese social networking site claiming to feature the upcoming Apple handset’s new design. The image shows larger bezels at the bottom and at the top of the device, with an edge-to-edge screen touching the left and right edges of the handset.
The handset appears to be strikingly similar to the iPhone 6S suggesting that the screen could well have been photoshopped on last year’s model. Furthermore, the image shows the device only from one angle, making it difficult to ascertain how genuine it is. Naturally so, the image reveals the round corners and the Touch ID button as seen on the iPhone 6S series.
It appears to be a case of bad photoshopping since the screen somehow doesn’t seem to align with the body. However, it does get the creative juices flowing and make fans wonder whether they would like the upcoming device from Apple to possess an edge-to-edge display.
As is the norm, the upcoming iPhone will be undergoing some radical design changes. And speculations suggest that the company will be keeping up the tradition and may be busy working on the handset sans the 3.5mm jack and present it as one of the sleekest iPhone ever.
