The most important debate on the web isn’t over what specs will the iPhone 7 Mini arrive with, it’s about what the 4-inch device from Apple will be called by the company. Predictions include titles such as the iPhone 6C, iPhone 7C or the iPhone 7 Mini.
Well, to be fair there is a lot of noise surrounding whether the smartphone will follow in the footsteps of 5C and sport a plastic casing as opposed to an all-metal form factor. A recent leak by M.I.C. Gadget may probably give a little insight into what’s to come. The video shows unwrapping of what appears to be an iPhone 7 Mini in its all-metal glory. It pretty much resembles the iPhone 6S with the antenna strips on the rear panel and presence of 2.5D glass on the device.
There have been multiple reports favoring the idea of the iPhone 7 Mini arriving in an all-metal casing. As noted by Digital Trends, an earlier leak from @OnLeaks as well as a report on MyDrivers, all predict that the Mini variant will resemble the iPhone 5S, indicating that there may be a 4-inch Apple device sporting a metal body, in the works.
Earlier reports citing KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, have revealed that the 4-inch Apple smartphone will be all-metal and will boast of curved edges like the iPhone 6S. The M.I.C. Gadget leak confirms the same, showing-off a 4-inch device with smooth, curved edges. The rumored spec sheet for the device reveals that the handset may arrive sans the 3D Touch feature to further distinguish it from the top-of-the-line models. But in any case, iPhone 7 Mini will be worth giving a thought, for those who quite prefer 4-inch smartphones rather than anything in the 5-inch range or current phablet-sized variants.
The iPhone 7 Mini is expected to be unveiled sometime early this year with reports suggesting a March 2016 launch. Apple fans can keep coming back for more updates on the much-talked about iPhone 7 Mini.
