Previously, it was reported that iPhone 7 will lack a 3.5-mm headphone jack but new reports claim that the device may have the port.

The news of ditching the headphone jack had created a fury among Apple fans, but a new image has surfaced on the internet and it shows that iPhone 7 may not drop the headphone jack.

French website had found the purported lightning cable which is featured in the iPhone 7. The image clearly shows that the speculated device will carry the same port which was found on the iPhone 6S. However, the design is different but the headphone port will still be there.

The website found the image on Weibo but the source is not known so the legitimacy is questionable.

Rumours claim that the Apple’s upcoming phone will not have the speculated Smart Connector, which was found in the iPad Pro, and it was noted by Japanese blog Macotakara. The blog has cited that both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will not have the Smart Connector.

Last month, KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had said that Apple’s upcoming phone may not have any attractive selling points as iPhone 8 will undergo a design change. He also noted iPhone 7 sales will take the plunge this year while other manufacturers will fare better.

The analyst believes that the Apple’s upcoming phone will manage to score shipment between 190 to 210 million units this year.

A report in last month came that the Apple’s upcoming smartphone may not feature fastest flash storage while its competitor Samsung Galaxy S7 has V-NAND UFS 2.0 storage created by Samsung.

According to ETNews report, Samsung has withdrawn the supply of NAND flash chip for iPhone 7 owing to its disagreement with Apple.

Fans believe that iPhone 8 may have the new flash chip by Samsung, but the iPhone 7 will fall short in terms of storage performance.
