iPad Pro Australia Release Date & Price: $1,150 for 32GB, Ships November?

One of the show-stealers at the Apple event on Wednesday was undoubtedly the iPad Pro introduced with the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard.

Apple shared the pricing and release details for the US which read out to be $799 for the model with both 32GB and Wi-Fi model. As for the Wi-Fi and Cellular model with 128GB, the price tag reads $1,079. The Cupertino-tech company has not specified any date but it is known that the offering will be shipping in November.

The company also revealed the Apple Pencil is priced at $99 and the Smart Keyboard at $169 in the US.

There has been no word on the Australian pricing or the release date of the latest iPad Pro yet. However, Techly has given indicative prices based on the current exchange rate, notifying that the rates would most likely increase given taxes and other factors.

As with the current reports making it clear that the iPhones will sell at a higher price in Australia than in the US owing to the currency rates, the case with the iPad Pro prices will not be different.

According to Techly, the prices translate to $1,137.77 AUD and $1,351.56 AUD for the 32GB and 128 GB variant, respectively. The 128GB version with WiFi and cellular could have a price tag of over $1,536.95 AUD, while the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard price conversion reads out to be $141 AUD and $212.23 AUD, respectively.

Apple revealed the new iPad Pro possessing a MacBook-like 12.9-inch Retina display and offering a resolution of 5.6 million pixels at the event on September 9. The latest iPad packs in a mean 64-bit A9X chip in a light and a sleek form factor with an updated iOS9.

“iPad Pro is the most advanced and powerful iPad we have ever made. Its beautiful and large 12.9-inch Retina display has 5.6 million pixels and provides an immersive experience for content and apps. The iPad Pro is far and away the fastest iOS device we have ever made — its A9X chip beats most portable PCs in both CPU and graphics tasks, but is thin and light enough to hold all day,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

As Techly reported, there is a lot of ambiguity surrounding the exact date of iPad Pro release since the company has only confirmed it would happen in the month of November. Fans in Australia should definitely be receiving the iPad Pro in November but they have to wait out for the final pricing and date.
