Years after the release of the first movie, “The Incredibles” is coming back with “Incredibles 2”. Recent reports say that the plot will revolve around a pre-teen Jack-Jack who may be turning against his family.
“The Incredibles” creator, Brad Bird, has confirmed that a second movie is definitely in progress. However he did not mention anything else. No information regarding the story line was given. According to ChattSportsNet, Bird mentioned that this second movie will not rely or focus on the special effects, but rather Bird would want to emphasize on the character development, after all, it has been years since the first movie.
In a recent interview with Crossmap, Frozone voice actor, Samuel Jackson revealed bits of important details that may be happening in the second movie. Jackson, as quoted in the website, says that “Everytime I run into Brad, he always tells me that Frozone is part of what’s going on [in the sequel], so I have to believe that. I guess they couldn’t be the Incredibles without Frozone…”
When asked about what the story may be, Jackson said “I’m looking forward to what Jack-jack turned into”. Rumors have spread that Jack-jack, who is then 11 or 12 years old following our real time, will go against the family, as mentioned further in Crossmap.
In the first movie, Jack-jack was only a baby. As seen in the last scene, he apparently has powers that are still vague to his parents. A theory posted on Reddit mentioned that Jack-jack demonstrated several powers that could make him an “omni-hero”.
ChattSportsNet also added that Jack-jack may even go head-to-head against his brother, Dash. The antagonist in the movie, isn’t however, just Jack-jack, as rumors also say that a villain may actually be manipulating Jack-jack.
“The Incredibles 2” is projected to be released on June 21, 2019.
