Just after the subtle announcement at D23 Expo, news about “Incredibles 2” seem to be heating up on the Internet as early as today. According to the latest bits, the script could be finished and old cast members might return.
During his interview, writer Brad Bird revealed that he is about to wrap up the movie plot.
“I have the story arc. I’m probably three-quarters through the script, first pass through the script, but we’re already boarding parts of it,” notes Collider.
“I’ve got a lot of people that worked on the first one working on it, so we’re all having a good time with it,” he added.
Since he mentioned that he got people that worked on the prequel, does it mean that the old cast might be back? It is still a possibility, though.
As for the story, Bird gave hint about it, but still keeping it mysterious.
“So we’re trying to keep it focused in the area that our film was, which was a little bit more about characters and relationships and stuff like that, and see where that takes us. But we’re having a good time,” he continued.
Brad Bird is back in helming animated motion pictures after working on movies like “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and “Tomorrowland,” according to Cinema blend.
“Incredibles 2” might be released next year. Let us wait for further updates as this story progresses.
In other news, the creator of “Incredibles”, Pixar, reportedly cancelled its new animated film “Newt.”
According to Decider, the reason Pixar put the movie back on the shelves is its similarity to Dreamwork’s film “Rio.” However, Youtube user SuperCarlinBrothers was able to get the film teaser. It can be viewed here.
