Eleven years ago, “The Incredibles” has become one of Pixar’s most successful films, earning more than $600 million in box office worldwide. Their success might not be complete without its action- packed musical score. This time, “The Incredibles 2” could surpass the previous victory as original composer returns to the sequel.

Screenplay writer Brad Bird confirmed thru Twitter that Michael Giacchino is back once again to create the film’s musical score. The short clip reveals Giacchino signing the contract:

Fans may ask how significant Giacchino is to the Pixar family.

Well, he has won several best score awards for “The Incredibles” at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, BMI Film & TV Award, ASCAP Film and Television Music Award, Annie Awards, Las Vegas Film Critics Society Award and Online Film Critics Society Award, reports Cinema Blend.

He also worked with successful motion pictures like “Ratatouille,” “Cars 2,” and the recently released film “Inside Out.” More than that, Giacchino won Best Original Score from the Academy Awards for the movie “Up.”

As for the film’s storyline, Brad Bird hinted that “The Incredibles 2″ plot is about to be completed.

“I have the story arc. I’m probably three-quarters through the script, first pass through the script, but we’re already boarding parts of it,” he told Collider.

“I’ve got a lot of people that worked on the first one working on it, so we’re all having a good time with it,” he added.

Several rumors about its plot includes Jack Jack being the villain, Violet having a boyfriend, the story focusing more on Frozone and Edna Mode, to name a few.

They also speculated that the sequel might pick up where they left off- with the Underminer being the antagonist, or there could be a time skip, making the characters older.

“The Incredibles 2” is slated to be released on June 2019. Stay tuned for more updates.
