News about the upcoming animated sequel “Incredibles 2” have been rolling on the web. This time, Director Brad Bird revealed something about its plot and release date. He also shared some bits about the characters and their relationships.
Bird returned to doing animated motion pictures after filming “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” and “Tomorrowland.” He began to write the story earlier this year. Here is the progress so far:
“I have the story arc. I’m probably three-quarters through the script, first pass through the script, but we’re already boarding parts of it,” he revealed on Collider.
“I’ve got a lot of people that worked on the first one working on it, so we’re all having a good time with it.”
As for the release date, Bird said that it is still quite “a little fluid.” But IMDb cited that the film could be slated for 2016.
Meanwhile, the director noted that the plot will focus more on what it has always been about — characters and relationships.
“So we’re trying to keep it focused in the area that our film was, which was a little bit more about characters and relationships and stuff like that, and see where that takes us. But we’re having a good time.”
A previous report stated that Jack-Jack might be the villain. However, the director has not confirmed it yet.
Fans might assume that the Parr Family — Bob, Helen, Dash, Violet and Jack-Jack — could be just the way they were as the story ended or they might have gotten a little older, iO9 noted.
