They have already reached the jungle. It is only a matter of time until we know who can survive it all and who will be “taken out of the jungle.” The show has already premiered and showcased an exciting mix of celebrities from different walks of life. There are sportsmen, reality TV stars, actors, singers and comedians, all fighting to survive the jungle. Their prize? A whopping AU$100,000 for a charity of their choice.
According to News.com.au, the line-up for this year’s “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here” includes comedian Akmal Saleh, singer Anthony Callea, dancer Bonnie Lythgoe, retired AFL player Brendan Fevola, Ironwoman Courtney Hancock, Glee actor Dean Geyer, DJ Havana Brown, Former Bachelor contestant Laurina Fleure, 90s TV star Jo Beth Taylor, Rugby League star Paul Harragon and actor Val Lehman. Five of these contestants got into the beautiful South African forest by jumping out of a helicopter. The remaining joined them after travelling on water and paddling canoes informs Sydney Morning Herald.
ANN had reported earlier that cricketing superstar Shane Warne was signed on to enter the jungle too. He joined the contestants as the 12th contestant and as an “intruder.” It will be interesting to see his interaction with the other contestants. In addition to Warne, rumours that Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski of “The Bachelor” fame will join the show as intruders.
Sam had expressed his interest in being a part of the celeb show in an interview to New Idea. “It’s a great show,” he said, reports Daily Mail. “I would definitely have to think about it. It would be hard to be away from Snez when we spend so much time apart as it is, so she’d definitely have to come too!” he added.
This will not be the first time that “The Bachelor” and his girlfriend become intruders on “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here.” Last season, Bachelor Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, his girlfriend, were the intruders on the show.
