Those enthusiastic about Android wearables have a lot in store for them at the IFA 2015, the electronics trade show to be held in Berlin. LG, Motorola, Asus and Huawei are going to up the ante by launching new wearables running Google’s OS.
According to CNET, during the trade fair fans will be introduced to Moto 360 2 by Motorola. As for LG, audiences will get to witness the arrival of the Watch Urbane LTE 2. This time around the smartwatch from LG will come powered by Android Wear, as opposed to the webOS seen on the previous Watch Urbane.
Samsung will be seen launching the Gear 2, a round faced smartwatch. The watch won’t be running on Android Wear but will be powered by Tizen. As per reported on Android Pit, this device will be complete with a metal body and is being dubbed as a “fashion accessory” by the company. The offering from the Korean tech-giant could be something to watch out for at the show.
As for Asus, they would be announcing the ZenWatch 2.
The new entrant in the smartwatch market is Huawei. The company will be releasing its first ever Android Wear watch. Fans had received the first glimpse of the watch earlier this year.
It seems to be raining Android watches everywhere.
Earlier reports have also revealed that Fossil and Intel had tied-up for Android Wear watches and wearables and fans received the first look of the devices at Intel’s Developer Forum.
Aside from Android watches, all eyes are awaiting for a glimpse of the Apple Watch 2 and what it will have in store for the aficionados across the globe.
As noted by CNET, it is interesting to see that Apple with just three months into the smart wearables domain, exceeded Samsung to become the leader. With the awaited Apple 2 launch and other tech-giants stepping in with their A-game, fans should keep coming back for more updates to see who emerges with a much loved tech wearable.
