The Ibrahimovic transfer news everybody has been waiting for is finally here. On his Instagram, Zlatan has declared that he will finally go to Manchester United.

Regardless of his huge ego, Manchester United has certainly bagged one of the best football players in the world.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic for all of his outrageous statements has the trophies to support him. The BBC notes that Ibrahimovic has won a trophy for each season of his playing career. He has not had a single year in which he did not take home a trophy. Starting with Ajax in 2001 until Paris Saint-Germain, run Zlatan has been bagging a trophy year in, year out.

Goal-wise, Zlatan has scored 392 goals in 677 games. And his last season with PSG is the most brilliant record he has up to date with 50 goals scored for a total of 51 appearances.

Zlatan’s new manager, Jose Mourinho has nothing but praises for the 34-year old striker.

“Zlatan needs no introduction. The statistics speak for themselves. Ibra is one of the best strikers in the world,” Mourinho said.

“I am certain that his talent will delight fans at Old Trafford next season and that his experience will be invaluable in helping to develop the younger players in the squad,” he further added.

Meanwhile, Zlatan sees Mourinho as the leader who’s capable of keeping Zlatan on the mission.

The question remains: will Jose Mourinho be able to keep Zlatan and his renowned ego in check?

In his autobiography, he has said that “Mourinho would become a guy I was basically willing to die for.”

He further revealed that Mourinho has the ability to manipulate him. In this light, everyone can expect Zlatan to behave in a more contained manner under Mourinho’s guidance.

“Mourinho is the disciplinarian. Everything with him is a mind game – he likes to manipulate. Such tricks were new for me – all the time doing one thing to get another thing, all the time triggering me. I like these games and it worked for me; I became top scorer under him and we won the league.”

With the Ibrahimovic transfer news confirmed, the striker is beyond happy in finding a home at The Old Trafford.

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining Manchester United and looking forward to playing in the Premier League,” Zlatan said in a Manchester United press release announcing the Ibrahimovic transfer news.
