‘House of Cards’ Season 4 Kevin Spacey Runs For Presidency

Netflix couldn’t have timed it just right. The network dropped a new trailer for season four of its award-winning series “House of Cards” during the Golden Globes Sunday night.

As the 2016 US Presidential Elections is fast approaching, various political campaign ads are everywhere. Well, Frank Underwood delivered his own.

Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, opened up the trailer saying: “They say we get the leaders we deserve. Well, here’s what I think America deserves…” He then continued enumerating his leadership qualifications while the trailer flashes all the twisted deeds he did over the past three seasons just to get to the Oval Office.

“I’m a humble man, I’ve never forgotten where I came from. I’ve taken my licks, but I’ve never taken your support for granted. I believe in pointing people in the right direction, but in the end, we should all be free to make our own decisions,” he continued.

“I think America deserves Frank Underwood. And in your heart, you know I’m right,” Frank said at the end of the trailer.

Now prompting his way to keep the most powerful seat in the world, FU is willing and able to play with words and political mastery to ensure he stays in power, Inquisitr noted.

Previously, Netflix released a teaser, which is packaged as a fake political ad, during the GOP primary debate on CNN, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

The latest trailer, which is available on the “Frank Underwood 2016” website, also hinted a scandal at the White House.

Season three concluded with Claire Underwood (played by Robin Wright) leaving Frank.

Christian Post reported that the news of their separation will be announced to the general public at some point in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Deadline has reported that Neve Campbell will join the cast as a regular. However, her role remains under wraps.  There have been speculations that she will cause problems for Frank and Claire, Inquisitr noted.

“House of Cards” fourth season premieres on Netflix on March 4, 2016.
