“Home and Away” actress Pia Miller has been rumored to be acting diva on set and her co-actors hate her, but the show producers have come out to her defense.
Daily Telegraph wrote that there have been claims that Miller is acting diva on set and her co-stars “can’t stand her,” citing an article in Woman’s Day magazine in which she was referred to Princess Pia.
The magazine insider claimed the brunette beauty has a tendency to gratify her own model looks and “throws it in their faces any chance she gets.” Miller, who played police officer Kat Chapman in “Home and Away,” allegedly does not mingle with her fellow actors and that she is keeping herself busy in social media, Woman’s Day wrote.
“She has one of the smallest acting portfolios on the show, but carries on like she’s a five-time Oscar winner,” the source added.
Network Seven, however, has defended Miller and said the report about the actress is not true. “Reports from unnamed sources in today’s media are untrue,” a Seven spokesman told the Daily Telegraph. “Since beginning on Home and Away 18 months ago, Pia has undertaken a massive career change, had to relocate from Melbourne to Sydney and had to work through a relationship breakdown. Her recent Logie nomination underlines her popularity with the audience and her character Kat is resonating with viewers,” the network spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, Pia Miller attended the TV Week Logie Awards earlier this month and walked the red carpet with her son, Isaiah. However, the actress did not join her fellow cast members backstage for a group photo after “Home And Away” won the Best Drama award, Mail Online noted.
Miller tied the knot with AFL player Brad Miller in 2007, but the couple split last year. She is now dating filmmaker Tyson Mullane.
The actress was first discovered in a modeling competition in 1998 when she was just 14-years-old. In 2001, Miller won the second season of “Search For A Supermodel.” She made some guest appearances on television before landing a role on “Home and Away.” Pia Miller had her onscreen debut as Kat Chapman on “Home And Away” in January 2015.
