“Home and Away” might just have a surprise! Another Braxton may come back to Summer Bay.
Dan Ewing, who played Heath Braxton, admitted that he would return to “Home and Away” for the right storyline.
“I’d definitely be open to a discussion about coming back, I have to say. If the storyline was there, I would. I wouldn’t want to play the same old Heath for another three years though — I’d want it to be fresh and him to have evolved,” he told news.com.au.
Heather is the second oldest of the Braxton brothers.
Ewing and Lisa Gormley, who played Heath’s love interest Bianca Scott, will star in the upcoming spinoff episode of Australia longest-running soap, titled “Home and Away: An Eye for an Eye.”
Gormley said she would also like to return to the regular “Home and Away” show in time.
“I would, but maybe not for another little while because I’ve still got things I want to try. I’ve done a lot of things that were on my list — I’m slowly ticking them off,” said Gormley.
“I love this show. It’s not like I left because I didn’t. And when I did, I suddenly lost 50 people from my life, which was sad. Coming back to play with them again was great,” she added.
Ewing and Gormley both left “Home and Away” last year.
According to DigitalSpy, “An Eye for An Eye” will not be aired on “Home and Away” home – Network Seven. It has been commissioned specially for Aussie’s streaming service Presto and will be released on December 9, 2015.
The special episode will focus on the Braxton family and on the kidnapping of Casey, the baby son of Darryl Braxton (Steve Peacocke) and Ricky Sharpe (Bonnie Sveen), by Brax’s arch nemesis, Gunno -the same man who was responsible for his presumed death, mumbrella.com noted.
In an interview with news.com.au, Sveen said: “This is a first for the show — they’ve never done anything like it before. It feels different, too — they’re shooting it differently … It gives it a slightly different look and feel. That made it an exciting prospect.”
The episode will also feature current regulars Nic Westaway (Kyle), Kyle Pryor (Nate), George Mason (Ash), Isabella Giovinazzo (Phoebe), Pia Miller (Kat) and Lynne McGranger (Irene).
Peacocke earlier confirmed that his character, Darryl “Brax” Braxton, will come back in Summer Bay to “spice things up a bit.”
Meanwhile, the season finale of “Home and Away” air this week in Australia on Network Seven.
