“The Hills” may be making a major comeback, and on the 10-year anniversary of the series’ debut on MTV, it was discovered that a large number of the cast members would be so “into” filming new episodes for The Hills revival!
TV personality Justin Robert Brescia, also known by his nickname Justin Bobby, shared to Entertainment Tonight that “The Hills” creator Adam DiVello recently reached out to him about a potential “The Hills” revival. He also mentioned that Netflix could be the potential new home for the revival. Netflix has yet to comment on this new report.
“He was like, ‘We kind of want everybody in,’ and it was the first time in a long time I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it!’” Justin Bobby said. “I figure now is a good enough time.”
Although Executive producer Liz Gateley directly shut down rumors that “The Hills” revival is 100% on its way to our television sets, she did say that there have been talks and “rumblings.”
“I know that there were some rumblings about it, but I don’t think it’s happening — yet, anyway,” Gateley said. “It would be great to do it, though. It would be nice to see them all together — just even in a reunion, directors’ chair [sit-down style of] special would be interesting.”
Gateley then added that “It was definitely fun to be a part of it, and the cast really were what made it special because they were really friends. They were really enemies. They were really having their hearts broken and going through universal coming-of-age truths that everyone painstakingly goes through.”
Meanwhile, Whitney Port, who starred in both successful reality shows “The Hills” and “The City,” has shown interest in a reboot.
Port also shared that she heard “rumblings” of “The Hills” revival. Although she is very excited to be a part of it, however, she thinks “it would definitely be hard” to get everyone together to film new episodes.”
2dayfm reported that Lauren Conrad may have revealed that there was a possibility of “The Hills” revival when she posted a photo on her Instagram account with the caption, “Never thought I’d see the day….”
