Gwyneth Paltrow is ready to take extreme measures to maintain her youthfulness and beauty. She has even tried apitherapy, an old treatment where people get stung by bees.
According to News.com.au, Gwyneth Paltrow elaborated that she is a guinea pig and is always ready try everything. “I’ve got to try them all. I love acupuncture. I’m open to anything. I’ve been stung by bees,” informed the actress. “It’s a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy. People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It’s actually pretty incredible if you research it. But, man, it’s painful,” she added.
So is there anything that she hasn’t tried so far? According to the New York Times interview, there is. Paltrow has stayed away from a service known as sound bath and is yet to try cryotherapy. “I just heard of a service called a sound bath, which might be too hippie-ish even for the likes of me. It’s some new healing modality. I might not be able to handle it,” she explained.
The 43-year-old actress, who also owns the Goop website, revealed to New York Times that she loves serums and oils. She also disclosed a list of branded creams and moisturisers she uses to keep her skin glowing and youthful. These include Goop instant facial by Juice Beauty, clarifying mask by May Lindstrom, Tammy Fender body oil, Ursa Major face wipes, and products by Drunk Elephant, Coola and Honest and Organic Pharmacy, states New York Times.
In addition to those mentioned above, she does not believe that oils cannot be good for the skin and her favourite product is the organic coconut oil from her kitchen, which she often uses on her legs. Gwyneth Paltrow also believes in the power of exercise and thinks it should be an important part of everybody’s routine.
