Is Robert Downey Jr. happy about the divorce of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin?
The Captain America: Civil War actor sat down with Howard Stern on his radio show over at SiriusXM where he said that he loves making out with the 43-year-old actress. “I guess I can dream a little bit. My free pass is — because her and [my wife] Susan are such good friends — is Paltrow,” he quipped per Us Magazine.
Thus, it’s important for RDJ for Gwyneth Paltrow to come back and reprise her role as Iron Man’s love interest, Pepper Potts, so “I can make out with her onscreen again.”
Will his wife, Susan, get jealous though? Robert Downey Jr. replied, “She could care less.”
The 51-year-old actor also assured that Pepper Potts will be back even if she’s not seen in Captain America: Civil War, in the wake of Gwyneth Paltrow’s interview with Variety. The said conversation was shared in an Us Magazine article where she weighed in on the unfair disparity in the wages for male and female leads. “Your salary is a way to quantify what you’re worth. If men are being paid a lot more for doing the same thing, it feels s—ty,” she said.
The divorce between Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin was finalised about two years after they announced their conscious uncoupling. The report was confirmed by E! News, which said that Chris Martin apparently filed to officially respond to the initial divorce filing from Gwyneth Paltrow, which explains the delay.
The judge finally rendered a ruling on the divorce documents submitted by the actress, which specified that they are surrendering their rights to spousal support. They also claimed to have agreed to an amicable settlement on the issue of visitation, child custody as well as support.
Following the divorce from Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow went on to date “Glee” producer Brad Falchuk while the Coldplay frontman moved on to Annabelle Wallis after an on-and-off relationship with “X-Men: Apocalypse” star Jennifer Lawrence.
