“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is still a work in progress yet news about the “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” has already emerged on the Internet. There are mere speculations that director James Gunn might be replaced on the third installation.

Gunn had a recent Facebook Q&A, notes Den Of Geek. One of the question is about the plans for Part 3 and it looked like Marvel and the “Guardians” team have already talked about the possibility.

However, James Gunn said that all he wanted to do as of now is to focus on the second movie. “I’m not sure what I’m going to do after this… Marvel has talked to me about continuing on. I’m not sure if that’s what I want to do or if that’s not what I want to do,” the director continued.

“I really just want to make ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 the greatest possible movie that I can, and something that’s as honest and sincere and true as it can possibly be,” Gunn concluded. Marvel fans might hear a definite answer from the director about “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” soon.

The website noted that no directors were able to complete a Marvel trilogy. Jon Favreau and Joss Whedon almost made it, but only directed a pair of ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Avengers’ films, respectively.

In other news, “Rocky Balboa” star Sylvester Stallone is rumored to be joining “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.” In a previous report, he was spotted on the set and at the hotel where the actors are staying.

He was also seen going in the car where actor Chris Pratt, who plays as Peter Quill/ Star-Lord is assigned. Should Stallone’s involvement be true, he will be joining the pool of new cast members Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Tommy Flanagan.

On the contrary, Ace Showbiz wrote that Kurt Russell got the role that is rumored to be taken by Stallone, but the lips of director Gunn are still sealed.

“There is no J’Son in the MCU (unless, in the future, that’s the name Moon Knight’s stoner neighbor gives himself),” Gunn explained.
