Guardians 2 Chris Pratt Finally Reveals Kurt Russell’s Role?

Guardians 2

Guardians 2 will only hit theaters on May 5, 2017, yet updates are already overwhelming the Internet. Chris Pratt, who portrays Peter Quill/Starlord, reveals Kurt Russell’s role, according to sources.

The news about Russell’s participation on the sequel has been circulating online for months, but the production team only recently revealed that he will play Ego, the living planet.

Speaking to Empire, director James Gunn said it was Pratt’s idea. The actor must have thought that including Russell in the film will spice up the character.

“He was actually not in my head initially, but one day, Chris suggested him, and I would have been really disappointed if he’d said no. Hey, if you have to cast anything, Kurt’s a pretty good way to go,” we quote.

A previous report nearly seven months ago predicted that Ego will be on Guardians 2 as a villain. According to Geek, this weird character is a regular planet that has a desire to conquer other planets.

Notably, there was a dilemma why the film would cast Ego as one of the characters. Marvel Comics fans suggested that the living planet should be on Thor: Ragnarok instead.
